Subject: J.R, Bobby's fight over Ewing oil, as spelled out in Jock's will

Question
Dan,

I'm watching Dallas everyday on Soapnet, but I can't wait to find out how it plays out.
Bobby and JR each have 50 percent of the company, and one year to see who can do the best.
What's the outcome of this fight?  I'm assuming JR wins, but there's got to be a twist somewhere.

Thanks,
Scott

Answer
Well Scott, if you really want to know...

Going down the wire, it appeared JR would win because Bobby's Canadian deal wasn't going to come thru. However, just before the deadline, Bobby gets the call and after everything is tallied up, Bobby wins the contest and 51% of Ewing Oil. But in true Bobby fashion, he decides to honor what Jock originally wanted, agreeing to share ownership of the company with JR. Naturally, JR takes advantage of Bobby's generosity...That's as far as I'll tell you!!

Thanks for the question...

Dan
