Subject: south fork ranch

Question
It seems when Dallas first started they were liveing in a different place. The brothers lived in seperate cabins outside from where Jock and Miss Ellie were liveing. Was that done because the South Fork Ranch now wasnt bought yet?

Answer
Hi Michael....

Yes, you are correct, there was a different Southfork Ranch in the 1st few episodes. The reason for the change was because the owner of the original ranch had gotten into some trouble with the law, and the Dallas crew didn't want to get involved with anything associated with him. So, they moved the ranch...No mention of the move during the show though...

Thanks for the question!
Dan
