Question
i have not dance in a while i need to know hot to do a jete axel fouette in five months please help

Answer
Hey Kenneta!
Well a jete means to jump and could mean a variety of different things. I'm going to assume you are asking about a regular split leap sort of jete. The basic idea for this is to leap from one foot to the other (think over a puddle). Your legs are aiming to get to a split position with totally extended knees and feet. Be sure to lift up in the torso and plie to get up into that leap.

An axel is basically a turning tuck jump. One leg is placed higher than the other (up close to your chest) and the other is tucked up underneath you. Usually you will chaine to get into this step and continue the turn in the air with the legs placed. Arms can be a variety of ways and again make sure you plie to get a good preparation and also a proper landing.

A fouette turn is going to probably be the most difficult to master. The working leg of this turn goes into this motion; in front of the body, out to a second position in the air, and finally into a pase position (can be turned in or out). The supporting leg will plie in the front and push into releve for the remainder of the turn. It is imperative to pull up on that supporting leg and to not sit too far into the plie. Also keep in mind that the working leg does not need to move too much or you will be thrown off of your center. As for the arms, usually they will be in a first position during the plie and out to a second position for the rest of the turn.

Hopefully this has helped you a little bit and good luck!!!
