I have first hand knowledge of the length and extent of dance training needed to work professionally on Broadway and in other professional theater. My specialty is working with kids who are interested in this dance training.
Experience I have worked training children in dancing, singing, and acting for the past 10 years. As the president of a not-for-profit professional children's stage choir, I have advised children and implemented their training to become professional musical theater actors and actresses. Several of my kids are currently on Broadway. Many others are currently attending Performing Arts Colleges.

Question hello my name is Latishia, I am a freshamn in high school, and I was wondering if you could answer a few questions I have, considering I am in the process of writing an Isearch paper on a future career that I would like to persue. I am currently taking dance classes in Santa Fe, New Mexico and I am really getting into dance and would like to have dance as a career and was wondering if there were any websites pertaining to dance such as accredited schools, colleges that give scholarships, sites that contain wages for dancers, how to become a professional dancer, and what type of learning skills do I need to teach dance.

The one Website that I think would be a big help with this project is www.dance.net. It has a lot of information, links to other sites, and you can even ask a question of a dance teacher. You can also go to www.collegegrad.com for information on careers in dance (look under careers for dancers and choreographers). Best of luck with finding the information you need.
