Expert: MartinStJohn Date: 11/2/2007 Subject: House Classic
Question hey, I'm looking for a house song from the early 90's 91 maybe 92 ...mainly an instrumental with a hypnotic, melodic, smooth jazz sax throughout the song in the beginning of the song it starts out instrumental for about the first 30-45 seconds of the song.......and then a guy yells out" I can't wait for loooooooove....." and then this real smooth kinda slowed down dance beat almost the same tempo as Susanne Vega's "Tom's Diner" comes in and towards the later part of the track prob about 3:00 in the track he says "come with me" "come with me" "come with me next to never?" sounds like a chicago house classic but it was definitely played on NY radio in the early 90's. Also I have the song on a tape so I could also send you a sample of what the song sounds like.......Please help me.....I've been looking for this song for quite some time and would really appreciate it if you would be able to help me. Thankyou in advance......John
Answer John,if you can upload a sample of the track and send me a link to it, i'll be glad to try and help out on this one. Chicago house is one of my more particular fave subgenres of dance music and have about 500 or more combined Trax, Dj International, and Vendetta label club singles on wax, so i'm probably your best bet on id'ing this track.
The can't wait for loooove part if i'm thinking of the right song, has been sampled in more than a few house records, and therefore will make it all the harder to detect exactly which track or bootleg various artist mix you heard it in. (for ex: white label bootleg house mix has little more than serial numbers on it, such as one of several that i have). This could be difficult..so be patient please. I'm ready for the challenge.
