Subject: Area of bull vs area of triple 20's

Question
Can you calculate the area of red bull vs the area of the triple 20's is one larger than the other, I have a bet with a friend that the triple 20 is larger in area, is that correct

Answer
Hi Craig, I am on vacation at present and will answer on the 22 June (ish)

You win easily, I think its easy to see the difference however.....

The Red inner bull is 12.7mm in diameter giving a surface area of 126.68 sq mm.

The 25 circle (inc red bull) is 31.8mm dia  equalling 794.23 sq mm

Now the triple 20 is not a rectangle. its height is 10mm but the lengt of the sides is 30mm for the lower and 32mm for the higher (due to the curve)

If the rectangle was 10mm x 32mm then the area would be 320 sq mm
If the rectangle was 10mm x 30mm then the area would be 300 sq mm

the truth is it is in between so say 310 sq mm

Red bull = 126.68 sq mm
25 bull  = 794.23 sq mm
T20      = 310 sq mm
