Experience I have been an avid Dave listener for four years, my brother got me into his music, we went to his last concert here together, I have all of his albums including Boyd's True Reflections, and can name almost all of his songs when i hear only about ten seconds or less of them.
Question Hi, I recently asked another expert this question, and he couldn't answer it. Hopefully you can.
What I would like to know is, in the song Grace is Gone,
Who is Grace.
Who is he pertaining to in the lyrics," she broke my heart, my Grace is gone one more drink and I'll move on"
and also the lyric, " I woke with you beside me, your cold hand lay in mine"

Answer Well Grace is the name of one of his daughters, and funny thing, my friend, his sister and my brother (all avid Dave fans) has discussed this before and we came up with the conclusion that Grace was not really a person at all, but just a name he thought sounded good with the song, it might have been based on reality, just a little name change, and you have to admit, Grace does sound better than Alex or Lauren.
