I'm a huge DMB fan like yourself but I've heard about a special meaning to the song "Halloween" and I'm still puzzled. Would you happen to know any info on that song? Thanks.

Hi Layne!  I read somewhere a long time ago that Dave wrote this song as kind of an "F" you to his old girlfriend who he proposed to like 7 times and she said no each time.  That's why this song seems very angry - because he was.  Dave is famous for not knowing what to name his songs (#36, #40, #41, etc.).  From what I heard, this song had no name either and it was first played on Halloween in 1992 and that's where the name came from.  Hope this helps you!  Thanks for your question!
