Why are many voices heard in the background of “Lie in Our Graves”? My family and I are huge DMB fans and we each have our own interpretation. We’d love to hear what the experts say!

That's rather odd, I've been listening to that very song nonstop for a little over two weeks now and I've wondered the same thing. To me it sounds like talking and laughing and as though everyone is enjoying themselves. Which to me is sorta the message of the song...live life to the fullest and don't leave any unanswered questions, experience it all: the good and the bad. So to me it's just Dave and the guys and sounds like maybe their families are just having a good time and what not.
