Dave Matthews Band/Get in Line/Spotlight

Question
Any chance that some old rare songs such as Get in Line, Spotlight, Angel from Montgomery, etc. are ever brought back. And why do they disappear in the first place?

Answer
Hi Jeff,
I would be surprised if Get in Line or Spotlight ever came back, but Angel from Montgomery may show up again at some point.

The band gets tired of some songs and decide to stop playing them in favor of others, or in some cases the band doesn't like the song.  Dave has mentioned in interviews that he thinks "Spotlight" is a bad song and doesn't plan to ever play it again.  It has also been mentioned that some or all of the band members don't want to play the song "Busted Stuff" any more (and it hasn't been since 2002).

Other songs just get forgotten.  Some songs weren't played all that often to begin with (Get In Line, Hold Me Down, People People) and the band just forgets how to play them.

Hope this helps,
Andy
