I was hoping you could tell me the lyrics Dave sings in his live version of drive in drive out @The Gorge 2004. Particularly the part after the first chorus:

I dont care just because we turn to dust.
Because you and I are made of flesh and bone,
but god how we bust.
So one boy is born in a puddle of gold, and another of rust.
It dont mean in the end ?????????????????????

They dont know sooner or later we're gone.

Based on the lyrics you gave me, you actually meant The Gorge 2002.  Here's what I hear:

I don't care just because we turn to dust
Because you and I are made of flesh and bone, but God, die we must
So one boy is born in a puddle of gold, and another of rust
It don't mean in the end you're worth nothing much
