Dave said in an interview that the song was about Jesus' walk through the desert. You can see it in the lyrics, such as "You don't have to prove a thing to me just give me faith make me beleive." I guess the way to put it is it's like Dave talking to Jesus in His walk through the desert. It's a very deep and meaningful song to Dave in regards to his faith.
Answer It was an interview with MTV, right before the album was released, I don't remember the name of the program but it was on both MTVs, and I'm sorry, I cant remember his name, but the guy who interviewed Dave was the one who does all the other MTV2 shows, Jamie, or something like that is his name, I think. Sorry I don't know more.
