Hi, I am writing a paper on Dave's song "Save Me" and I was wondering if you knew the meaning behind it, or why Dave wrote it.

Dave said in an interview that the song was about Jesus' walk through the desert. You can see it in the lyrics, such as "You don't have to prove a thing to me just give me faith make me beleive." I guess the way to put it is it's like Dave talking to Jesus in His walk through the desert. It's a very deep and meaningful song to Dave in regards to his faith.

It was an interview with MTV, right before the album was released, I don't remember the name of the program but it was on both MTVs, and I'm sorry, I cant remember his name, but the guy who interviewed Dave was the one who does all the other MTV2 shows, Jamie, or something like that is his name, I think. Sorry I don't know more.
