Hello - I just first want to say how great this website is!  I just came across it.  Thank you so much for sharing all of your DMB knowledge!  

I think the song Stay or Leave is so beautiful - I am wondering who he might have written this about - whether it was personal and he was going through a troubled time with his wife or was it about someone else's relationship?

Hi Sylvia!  It has never actually been said if this song is about anyone in particular.  But whether this song is personal to Dave or about someone else, I'm sure Dave can relate to the song very much and probably got some inspiration for the song from his ex-girlfriend, Julia Grey.  Dave dated her for many years and asked her to marry him 7 times and each time she said no.  They eventually broke up and he later met and married his wife, Ashley Harper.  Hope this helps you!  Thanks for your question!
