Question Why isnt' Timmy a member of the band? He has been with them from the beginning and has a part in most studio recordings, yet he is not considered a member of DMB. He could still do other projects while being a member of the band, the others do. Thanks
Answer Hi Dan! Well, Tim Reynolds has his own band, TR3, that keeps him busy. He does tour every once in awhile with Dave on an acoustic tour, but not with DMB. Tim Reynolds has joined the band in the studio, but not on the road. According to Dave, "Tim's been on every album we've done as an equal member, but when we go on the road, he just doesn't come out with us. It adds some mystery to the whole thing...whenever anyone asks me why he isn't on the road with us, I just say, I dunno; it just turns out that we're six when we're making records, but we're five when we're on the road." So, even Dave is not really sure why Tim isn't an official member of the band that tours with them. He says that's just the way it is. Hope this helps you! Thanks for your question!
