Dave Matthews Band/Warehouse and Pay For What You Get Song interpretation

Question
The subject says it all really, I've been a DMB fan for about 3-4 years now (still haven't joined the Warehouse yet though *sigh*) but I was wondering if you could interpret Warehouse and Pay For What You Get for me.  Warehouse uses a lot of obscure references such as the "black cat changing colors" that just seems to go over my head, and Pay For What You Get seems confusing to me as well
Thanks!

Answer
Warehouse:  Think of it like this: The Warehouse is your mind. The song reminds one not to be so eager to jump into things, whether it be life, drugs, or monotony.

Pay For What You Get:  Written as a reply to the band's request for Dave to write more songs, Dave (as he does in Grace Is Gone) has alluded to a girl to mask the songs true intentions. Old theories held that it was about Dave's fallen sister Anne, but that is untrue.
