Question
I know that dave matthews turned away from christianity when his sister died. How and when did his sister die. Is "Hello Again" about seeing his sister again? and finally what is the "watery grave" symbolize in Hello Again. Any answer would be appreciated, thankyou.

Hello Sean!  Dave's sister, Anne, died in 1994, about two weeks before the release of DMB's album "Under The Table And Dreaming."  That's why in the back of that album it says, "In Memory Of Anne."  She was killed in South Africa by her husband, who then killed himself.  They had children that Dave and his other sister, Jane are helping to raise.  The song "Hello Again" could possibly be about seeing his sister again, but I have not heard anything on this for sure.  As for the "watery grave" part, I heard that the song could possibly be about the Green River killer.  Here is the link at antsmarching.org for the article about that possibility:  http://www.antsmarching.org/columns/column.php?columnid=22  Hope this helps you!  Thanks for your questions!
