What is your take on The Space Between- what beautifully written lyrics- reminds me of two people in love who are married or comitted to someone else. Ps never been to a dmb concert yet- hope to some day-Thanks for your help-Ps Im old enough to be Daves Mother LOL!

Hi Dee!  I've seen people of all ages at DMB shows!  I'm 23 and my mom still goes with me sometimes!  Definitely catch a show if you can...great time!  The band is just unbelievable live!  As for the "Space Between", the best interpretation I've read about this song and that I agree with is...it's a story about two people who, for some reason, are not able to be together and the love they share is forbidden.  They lie to keep it secret, but feel the fire between each other's soul when they are together.  "The wicked lies we tell and hope to keep us safe from the pain" and "All we can do, my love is hope we don't take this ship down"...They know they can't keep going the way they are, but it's unimaginable to stop...thus "You cannot quit me so quickly".  The "Space Between" is the metaphorical term to describe the amount of time that the two will be apart until they "can" be together.  This is a song that illustrates the feelings of a person when they are separated from a loved one.  It shows how cruel the space between two individuals can be.  Great, beautiful song!  Love it!  Hope this helps you!  Thanks for your question!
