No no! It's about experimenting the beauty of life. Satellite it's your own eyes, "like a diamond in the sky", refers to something or someone beautiful you cant help staring at. "Satellite strung from the moon" means man have conquered its limitations, now they can see the earth from another point of view "beautiful view" "the world your balloon" is referring now that mankind has conquered his limitations, the world is like a kid with a balloon. "Peeping tom for the mother station" means regardless all of all the beauty in this world, people rather be nosy, living the life of others instead of theirs. "Winter's cold spring erases " means we all go through hardship in life but than something good comes, "and the calm away by the storm is chasing, everything good needs replacing" means before a storm, there us calmness.. meaning that what you have is good but will end at some point.  "Everything good needs replacing " get ready for a change, even if it's good, because at some point will be boring. It's an invitation to try new things and not be a conformist. "Look up, look down,  all around" hey there is life everywhere enjoy it!!"satellites headlines read secrets you have seen, eyes and ears" is saying that people tend to be more focus in other lives, they create rumors "eyes and ears""satellite dish in my yard " is talking about the nosy neighbor. "Tell me more whos is the king of your satellite" we go back to the first phase. He us asking who is the one that delights your vision. Who is the one that has your attention. "Rest high above the clouds, no restrictions " means to live your life to the fullest,  with no hesitation or regrets."television we bounce around" meaning to expand your imagination as far as you can."and while i spend these hours, five senses reeling" means "while im living and enjoying my life to the fullest. "I laugh at the weatherman's satellite eyes"he laughs at people, which tend to live a life from a computer and based their life on technology, thinking they are living life. He used the weatherman because they are usually wrong most of the time. Si basically is a song about enjoying life, your life! Not the life of others. Also, not to based your life over technology. .. there us more to it, like a beautiful day outside. also don't be a conformist,  get ready for a change in life all the time, rutine kills. That's my definition of this beautiful song.

Expertise

I can Answer any questions about lyrics, songs, albums, or pretty much any questions about the band, but my strong subject is lyrics and songs.

Experience

I have been an avid Dave listener for four years, my brother got me into his music, we went to his last concert here together, I have all of his albums including Boyd's True Reflections, and can name almost all of his songs when i hear only about ten seconds or less of them.
