About Lauren
Expertise
I can answer almost anything about specific information from episode 1 to the last episode. I know a lot about the music and any story line that ever happened on the show. Please note that the music substituted on the DVD's is not something that I can help with.

Experience
I have watched the show from the very beginning faithfully and i am in the process of taping them all and adding them to my collection.

Question
Hi ! What is the song during which Joey and Jen are talking about Joey's problem which consists of telling Dawson the truth ? I know that songs sometimes change (I do not know why), every blog says Dido "Thank U" but it is not that song, it is another one. If you want to listen to it, go to Youtube and look for "Dawson longest day (2/5), you will see this is not Dido who is singing (or, at least, it is not the song "Thank U"). Thanks for your help ? And (if you know) why are the songs sometimes different between English and French episodes ? (it is weird)

Answer
you're right... that song isn't Thank U.. Here is the deal..

On the original episode that aired on TV, the song WAS Thank U. When they air episodes in other countries or when they release the episodes on DVD they have to re-license the music used on the show. THey are not always able to get the same songs.  For example, Thank U became a BIG hit in the US after it was used on a few shows that season so the price of licensing it became high. What the music supervisors do is find other songs by lesser known artists to replace these songs.

Unfortuately, I don't know the name of the song playing in that scene that you are talking about.  There used to be a website that had all the alternate music used on the show but it was taken down.  I'm sorry I can't be of more help!
