Day Trading/daytrading

Hi, my question is, if you start a daytrading margin account with 28,000 and you only use your own money to buy and sell would you still have to pay interest. Is it possiable to start a margin account and only use your own money?

Hi Elena,

When you sign up for a margin account you have "access" to additional buying power, but if you are only trading with the cash that you have funded your account with you are trading with cash, and not using margin.

If you have any questions related to your account I'd encourage you to check with your broker though. Your broker is there to work for you, and it's always best to ask them directly if there are any questions. If they're unable or unwilling to help, it's time to switch to a new broker. ;)
