Why did the stock market fail in the first place?
Dear Sam:
I can certainly understand your frustration with the recent stock market activity. However, rest assured that the markets did not fail at all! They merely moved lower on continued selling pressure. The "climax" happened last week when mutual fund holders reviewed their statements from the prior period and began a mssive wave of mutual fund redemptions.
