Question Was wondering when Doug Williams was killed off, and why did Marlena kill him?
Answer Hi. Doug was "killed" back in 2003 during the Salem Stalker storyline. It's a long story, but "Tony", who now turns out to be Andre, was controlling Marlena with drugs and made it seem that she "killed" 10 people (Doug, Caroline, Alice, Roman, etc...). In reality, they were drugged, the coroner was bought off by Andre, and everyone seemed to be declared dead, but they were actually transported to a deserted island that Andre set up to look exactly like Salem. Everyone finally escaped the island and made it back to Salem in the summer of 2004. Doug's "death" was shown on screen as he figured out Marlena was the "killer." She confronted him in the cemetary of St. Luke's, and stabbed him to death. The story was written to bring back lots of fans who had stopped watching and it worked for awhile, as people wondered who would be killed next. Jason
