I WROTE TO YOU IN OCTOBER, 2007. THANK YOU FOR THAT ANSWER. I HAVE PROGRESSED TO BEING PROFOUNDLY DEAF, 96 db in both ears. Your recommendation to take classes in asl and lip reading helped greatly. I am now using them as my primary method of communication
