Question
Hi Dr. Jerry

  I am Moderatly deaf in my left ear. I was born like this do to my syndrome velocardio facial syndrome its hard to explain. I wear a hearing aid now do to my disabilties when I dont have it on I use my right ear to hear. my left ear in the last audiology was 40 decibells thats not good. My other ear was I believe 25? I get this ringing in my ear where it puts me down to my needs and I start crying. Sometimes it feels like a knife stabbing in my ear. Dr. Jerry do you know what is going on? Can you help me out? I even get this sound like a white noise in my ear or it sounds like a cooking pan. It hurts.

Hi Jacqueline,

I am familiar with this disorder because I did work with two of children who have same thing as you do.

I am not able to help you out regards your current condition because I am not a medical doctor, however I can advise you to see an ear/nose/throat specialist, this doctor may be able to help you.

I believe you may suffering what called is "Tinnitus" it is noise and ringing in the ears. Let specialist know about this name of condition.
