How to Deal with Jealousy/How to Make One Jealous - stalker at work

Expert: Anisa - 9/21/2009

Question
Hi,

I don't know where to begin. I work in a big fancy building downtown that has several fancy restaurants on different levels. I work with only girls, but they are my really good friends and I'm the only guy in our restaurant. Recently there has been a guy upstairs who has been stalking one of the new girls and she is pissed that she can't get away from him, plus another girl. It's making me want to do something about it if he doesn't stop! I was talking to the new girl the other day and she said that he had come down to our level like 8 times doing different random things. He had previously asked another girl to get her number, but when she gave it to her, she just chucked it. Now he knows her number and knows when she works. Could I ask my friends to pretend to flirt all over me and make him jealous?

Answer
Hi Devin,

The mature thing to do would be to file a police report, IF his 'stalking' his making the girls uncomfortable to the point that they feel unsafe. Otherwise, just having them flirt with you will probably put you in the middle of an unwelcome situation (in other words, he may become angry and take it out on you).
