How to Deal with Sex Problems - Organsm

Expert: Maggie - 7/11/2007

Question
What problems could females have when they can not have organsms? In my early years I didn't have any problems with organsms until the last 4 years now and I am 37 year old now and haven't had one in that time frame. My boyfriend is very upset with that because he has done everything that he thought would help me and nothing happens. Do I need some kind of treatment? What kind of test can my doctor do to find out?

Answer
Hi Sondra,

Generally not being able to orgasm has something to do with your mind more than anything else. Are you able to orgasm when you masturbate ? Do you feel totally comfortable with your partner ? Have you been worried/scared/stressed lately ? Did something important happened to you ? Have you been in the mood for sex ? Those are things to look at first.

If none of those things applies to you, then I suggest you go take a trip to your gyn/doctor which can perform a gyn exam and other things to see if anything abnormal is going on with you. Also, he will liekly discuss psychological such as those described above with you. Depending on what is the cause of your problem, you may or may not need treatment.

Feel free to follow-up,
Take care,
Maggie.
