I can help you figure out how to deal with a crush, whether it includes figuring out if he/she likes you, getting to talk to him/her, getting the confidence to ask him/her out, etc. Trust me, I have had so many crushes that it's hard to count all of them. Question
I'm 17, and I'm approaching the end of my Senior year of high school.
With that being said, I have a crush on this girl who is a Sophomore in
high school. I've been friends with her since I was a Freshman, so I'm
sure becoming friends is way behind me. It's very complicated, so sit
back, grab something to drink, and enjoy.

When I first saw her, I was immediately attracted to her - she's incredibly
beautiful. Since she's become accustomed to high school, she's grown to
become quite a party-person: I'm sure she's drank before, and I know
she's hung out with a lot of "party animals". I keep telling myself "we
have a lot in common (because we do) and I'm sure her prone-ness to
party will not interupt a possible relaionship.

For this year's prom, I asked her to go "as friends", and she agreed to
go; the prom has already passed. We have a class together, and we sit
next to each other, so I quite frequently talk to her.

When we talk, sometimes they're long conversations, but most of the
time, we answer with short sentences. I feel that we could have good
conversations if I could find out what she likes to talk about the most.
Our eyes meet each others (which gives me goosebumps, lol), but I don't
know if she feels the same way that I do for her. Also, a lot of the stuff I
say makes her get mad at me because of my lack of common sense.

She seems to continuously heading down the path of underage drinking
and deviance. A person can change just by the people they hang out
with, so I know I could change her if we had a more intiment
relationship.

She also likes another guy in my school who is a Junior. She seems quite
fond of him; I know this because one of her friends is in the same class
with us. However, I also know she cannot gain the courage to "break the
ice" with him.

How do I tell if she likes me? What are some good ways to make her
laugh and flirt with her? Is there a way to get her to like me more than
this other guy? How do I go about doing so?

Answer
Hi Matt,
Just because she likes this other guy doesn't mean that she won't like you. I think that getting to know her better and being more comfortable with each other are the best things that you can do in order to show her what kind of guy you are. She'll probably end up liking you better if she sees that you are willing to get to know her and that your personality is more likeable than the junior. Good luck, and write back to me if you need to.
