Expertise
Crushes can be confusing. When you have one, it can be hard to decide what to do about it, right? I can help you figure out how to deal with a crush, whether it includes figuring out if he/she likes you, getting to talk to him/her, getting the confidence to ask him/her out, etc. Trust me, I have had so many crushes that it's hard to count all of them. Ask me a question and I'd be glad to help.

Question
QUESTION: It turns out we didn't have a dance today. We had an award assembly for sports and school advancements. Chaz (the guy I like)won a lot of awards and I felt really proud of him. We also had a slide show of the year and Haley was in a lot of the pictures. (I'm not that photogenic) I turned around at Chaz when one of Haley's picture was up and I swear I've never seen a smile that beautiful then when he was smiling at her picture. I want everyone to be happy in the end, but I'm not going to be one of those people who comes out happy and with the one we want to be with. He knows I like him, so I'm really scared to talk to him let alone ask if he wants to hang out. I don't want to get out of school in more pain than I am now. What should I do?

ANSWER: Well, just try to talk to him. Maybe you can tell him good job on winning the awards that he did. If he asks to hang out, just be grateful that you got what you wanted. You can do it.

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: Hi again. Schools over now and summers finally here. This year seriously sucked but thats a long story. I didn't get a chance to talk to him the last day of school because he got out early and I haven't talked to him since. I want to stop whining and start doing something. I really want to hang out with him, but he's almost never online and if he is I want to be ready. What do I say to him or how do I ask him if he wants to hang out with out it being awkward? I don't want to end up feeling like a bigger loser than I do know.

Answer
Hi Christine,
I think that you should ask him how his summer has been going and stuff like that, if you catch him online. If you can stretch the conversation on and feel like he's having a good time talking to you, ask him if he wants to hang out. Good luck.
