Subject: My best guy friend

Question
Ok I'm 12 yrs. old and I've fallen for my best guy friend. We have pretty much everything in common. We talk all the time about anything. Everyone thinks we are going out or like each other. I asked him out 2 yrs. ago but he said he likes me a a friend and thought that I was his best friend. But we've grown alot closer. He makes me laugh all the time. He's cute, smart, can sing, can act, is insanly sweet, and is EXTREMLY shy. He doesn't even like answering the phone. We will talk all day if we can. Sometimes we talk freely but other times he acts nervous around me. Twisting his hair and staring the ground. I want to ask him out really badly but I don't want to ruin our friendship. My bff has picked out our song " I got you babe" and has planned our wedding. One time in computer lab we had to share a computer. My had was on the mouse and I turned around, turned back and his hand was on top of mine and he didn't take it off. Also one time I called his house, I can't remember why, but his dad answered and I said, "Hello, is Corby there?" and his dad goes, " Corby!! Its your girlfriend!!!." so apparently he talkes about me at home. I really need to now because other wise I might expole. Is there any hope for us?

Answer
Hi Brooke,

It seems like all signs are heading for the right direction! The easiest way to find out is by asking him. I think you would like the answer very much, although I must say 12 is rather young for you to consider a serious relationship and not to mention marriage!

I don't want to burden you with the thoughts that if it doesn't work out in the end your friendship might be ruined, but this possibility does exist. However, don't hold back if you think you will regret it in the future.

Good luck! Let me know how it goes & feel free to ask for followups.

Best wishes,
Estelle.
