Experience I have gone through quite a few crushes myself. Now that I am well and off in college, I feel like I can give some advice to peers or those younger than me. My friends often comes to me for advice on this subject matter as well. I have been able to guide both myself and my friends into great relationships. I am also a psychology major with a lot of interest in this topic. I am very eager to help those who have any questions.

Question Hi Estelle I'm Stephanie and I'm 13 years old. Well, I've liked this guy named
Luke since last year. We are the same age and we sat next to each other in
computer class. Then we came into 7th grade and we became really really close.
He found out that I liked him. But I told him I got over him later on even though
I really didn't. Then we got even closer. Like I would talk to him all the time. We
were texting a lot and we hung out a couple times too. So then summer came
along. Him and his girlfriend Sarah, (who is a year older then us) broke up. I felt
so bad. But then, life made an unexpected turn. Everybody found out that I
liked him again. Even Sarah found out! I didn't want him to hear from
somebody else, so I told Luke that I liked him. I was SO NERVOUS to tell him! I
have never confessed to a boy that I liked him until I told him. But then He
didn't believe me! I finally got him to believe me but then he said ur kewl and I
asked what he meant and he didn't text me back.
So I have this other friend whos name is Kyle. He is like my best friend. I just
met him this year. I was sad about Luke not believing me and I told all of it to
Kyle. He was really nice and listened and comforted me. So then I started to like
him. Now a couple days ago, I told him I liked him because I was lying about
who I liked and I felt bad. So I just said I liked him. He didn't believe me either!
He knew how sad I was when Luke didn't believe me then he turns around and
doesn't believe me! I cried wondering how he could do that. The next day he
said he was sorry and he didn't really care. We've still talked and texted and
IMed each other as if I never even told him.
My first question is: Why did Luke say "ur kewl" and I haven't heard from him
since?
Two: Does it seem like either of them like me?
And three: What do you think makes them not believe me?
Please get back to me ASAP!

Answer Hi Stephanie,
It could be that Luke didn't know what else to say to you. He is either confused about whether he likes you, or just plain out doesn't like you but didn't want to hurt your feelings. Just take it as him saying "you are cool but..." if you know what I mean.
As to Kyle, there is an honestly good reason for why he didn't believe you. First of all you were raving about Luke to him not too long ago and suddenly you are telling him you like him. If I was Kyle, I wouldn't believe you either.
I don't know if either one of them currently likes you but I don't think you should hope for too much out of them. If either one of them did like you I'm sure they would've responded enthusiastically to your confessions.
