Ok, so there is this gril thatI like and i dont know if she likes me. She emails me,
but she completely ignores me in person. For example, I wanted to try to say
bye, i thought i caught a glance, then she truned away when I saw and walked
away. She claims she likes this other person, but she is also showing signs of
interest to me. Is it possible she likes e more than a friend, but she does not
know if she likes me. Please help.

It could be one of two situations
1) She likes you but is too shy to talk to you. Talking via Internet is so much easier than talking in person ... believe me.
-or-
2) She's a jerk. (sorry for being blunt). you definitely don't want to be with someone who's going to ignore you in front of their friends.
I'm really not sure what to make of the situation because its lacking in some details.  If you do a follow up with some of her hints/signs then i might be able to give better advice.

If someone stares at you a lot it may be a dead giveaway that he/she has interest in you, but not always. As far as her flirting. That's a good thing. If she flirts with you more online than in person, don't be discouraged she may just be insecure or nervous. (Talking is way easier on the computer because you don't have to deal with up front rejection, and negative reactions that you might have to face in person). If she flirts with you in person then she may like you. Your best bet (if you really like her) is to try on encourage her online to try and talk to you more in person. If she won't and can't do it then it may be time to move on.
