Question my hands are moving at all times ...kind of a wringing and tensing...same with my feet ... even in my sleep..people have noticed and commented on it of late. my hands and feet hurt from doing this and sometimes i have to sit on my hands and feet to hold them still... is this a symptom of anxiety or depression or both? I take a SSR for depression ...i feel it is more anxiety driven and would like to know what to do about it... my dr says to clam down and drink herbal tea...hummmm
Answer HI jowanna,
I don't know whether this is depression or Restless leg Syndrome. Both are due to an underlying metabolic disorder producing too much stress hormones and probably related to hypoglycemia.
Please look up "Restless Leg Syndrome" at our web site. Also read:
Depression is a Nutritional Disorder at:
http://www.hypoglycemia.asn.au/articles/depression_disorder.html
Depression: a Disease of Energy Production at:
http://curezone.com/upload/PDF/Articles/jurplesman/depression_energy3.pdf
and ask for a referral to a Nutritional Doctor, Clinical Nutritionist or a Nutritional Psychologist, if self-help therapy fails.
If you have any further questions please come back.
