Answer
Dear Kealo,
There is no doubt in my mind your depression is partly due to environmental stresses. But it can also be due to any internal imbalance caused by hypoglycaemia.(http://www.hypoglycemia.asn.au/2011/what-is-hypoglycemia/)

This can be treated by going on a hypoglycemic diet (http://www.hypoglycemia.asn.au/2011/the-hypoglycemic-diet/)

You will find that if you go on the hypoglycaemic diet, you will be in a much better position to handle stress. And it will also improve your self-confidence. I suggest that you adopt the hypoglycaemic diet, and see how you go. Please read the following articles that it will explain it.

Beating Anxiety and Phobias

and

Depression is a Nutritional Disorder

If you want to you can discuss this with your doctor.

I hope I have been of some use.
