Question
This is my mom's profile ( ooops)
OK, HI and i appreciate grownup-ups like you are willing to help us kids. I have the FCAT ( Florida Comprehension Assessment Test) in 19 days and I have my audition for South Miami Middle in two days, I have tons of homework, want to loose some weight, take care of my bored ( and boring) dogs and help my sis. on her homework and want to have time to play too. I have prepared myself for the big test for months , but still don't feel confident. To enter South Miami I have to know a whole monologue and how to act it. I have to tune a song and to make my time more limited, dance. I have so much stress and I'm only 10. How can I do it all? This is crazy !!!!!!! Help me. Quickly

Answer
Hi Eileen,

Thanks for the question, and at your age, you would be far better off talking to one of your parents, brother, sister or other relative who knows your situation.  They will be far better placed to give you sensible guidance and advice.

I am not suprised you feel stressed given your current workload.

Take on thing at a time, and concentrate only on that.  This way you are not thinking of three other things you feel you have to do at the same time.  This way you can also devote more of your energy to the task in hand.

Not feeling confident before any test is very common, and nothing to be worried about.

Try and take some time to let your family know how you feel, and they may be able to offer support and help which will ease you through this trying time.

I am sure you will do really well.

If you need anything else, just let me know.

Warm regards,

James
