Dealing with Stress - STRESS

Question
Hey

I have stress issues, I'm 29 and my ex girlfriend of 3yrs gave me tremendous stress because of jealousy and sensitivity she had.. its been 2yrs since i broke it off and i feel somewhat better than when the official break up happened(then i was yelling at everyone) But i have to avoid iced tea, soda, chocolate, and esepecially coffee. They tear me apart and make me feel tremedously hyper and nervous.. Now i have noticed my hair is thining all around the top within this current week.
Please help, i want to know a solid solution of ridding my self of this stress. Before being with my girl i was carefree and stress free.. Will i be cured or am i stuck with it for life?

Thanks
joe

Answer
Hi Joe,

Thank you for a very comprehensive outline of your difficulties.

It sounds like you are still struggling to manage your stress more easily.

There are several steps you can take.

Finding a good yoga or relaxation class to attend locally
will help your body learn to relax more easily.

Finding time to relax on a regular daily basis by yourself, using a good self hypnosis tape, or relaxation tape would also be really helpful.

There are many excellent tapes and CD's on the market available using a search on the Internet.

You may also want to look at the range of tapes that I sell at;

http://www.hypnosistapes-and-cds.com

Recognising that the body is simply trying to give you messages about how stressed you are, by making you anxious and hyper, is a reminder that you still need to deal with this.

As you progress, you will find your anxiety reducing, and feeling fitter than you have for some time.

If you feel after a month or so, improvements are not occuring as fast as you'd like, then finding a good counsellor or stress therapist would be a next good step.

You will be able to release this stress, but it will take
some time and effort - it is unlikely that it will all be
gone in a week or two.

Finding more information about stress and understanding it can also help.

I have a 7 step Anxiety and Stress course and a meditation course - both delivered by e-mail that you may want to subscribe to.  Let me know if you would like to know more and I will send you details.

Good luck for the future, and any further questions, just drop me a line at

Warm regards,

James Middleton
