Question
Hi, I am looking into decking my garden, but i have a problem, i want to put a pool on top of the decking but the pool weight will be approx 3 ton, how do i support the decking?
look forward to hearing from you.

Answer
Hello Karen,

You pretty much have to build a regular joist type framing structure, however use 2x10 on 12" centers for the joists that are under the pool. You also want to add cross beams such as 4x6 under the joists running the opposite direction on 60" centers. All of this can be supported with 6x6 posts in 18'X18" concrete footers. This may all sound confusing It's hard to explain without giving you a drawing. To bad we can't add pdf's or j-peg's to this site.Feel free to follow up if you need to.
