Subject: Deck stain

Question
I recently finished a large deck with a chocolate brown solid alkyd stain. It looked beautiful till it got walked on. It shows every footprint and water mark. Is there something we can seal it with so that the dusty footprints will brush off? (Water does bead on the stain) Thank you.

Answer
Hi Andrea. I have to say that I am not sure how to resolve your problem. I think your best course of action would be to either address your question to the manufacturer of the stain or ask one of the experts in the painting category. Sorry I can't be more help.
