Question
Hi Jenny-
I have looking to purchase a new leather sofa. My existing furniture consists of mission & shaker in cherry hardwood.  I do not wish to add any more Morris style to the ensemble.  The room is 12 x 20 and my wall colors are soft, yellow.

What style of leather sofa and what colors would go with my existing furniture?

Answer
Hi Eric,

Thanks for your question.  Adding leather is a great idea.  I would consider a medium height back and a more contemporary sofa than the overstuffed.  Check around for a more tailored leather with visible top-stitch and wooden legs.  While mission and shaker aren't considered contemporary, this leather style will coordinate best.

I'd look for a chocolate brown or dark green leather, although a black would work for you as well.

Regards,
Jenny
