Decorating & Furniture/Great Room Wall Color

Question
Hi Norah,
So glad you're available to help. I would like to hear your ideas on a wall color for my small great room.  Am considering a pale blue because I can't tolerate earth tones and the grays I've looked at are either too dark or too pale. This is my furniture: black sectional, large china cabinet in black and reddish brown (oriental), matching dining table with black glass inserts, large tv unit in reddish oak with smoky plastic doors on one side.  (All this large furniture used to inhabit our previous home which was much larger than our current one.)  We are replacing our kitchen cabinets and counter tops.  Considering "praline" finish" (reddish brown) on cabinets and black countertops. Floor is maple laminate throughout.  The great room has 2 large south-facing windows--one each in the living and kitchen areas. Do you think pale blue would be attractive in this setting and what accent colors would you suggest?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Robin

Answer
Hi Robin,
I'm glad I can help you :) Pale blue will look wonderful in your room(s). I selected Glidden/CIL colour card 6L14 which goes from the palest almost white icy blue to a deep sapphire blue. Specifically look at delft china 79BG 53/259, azure afternoon 89BG 37/353, and windswept 89BG 70/116. I hope this helps! Good luck :)
