Decorating & Furniture/painting a crib~plastic parts

Question
I have a crib that I have figured out how to paint, except for the fact it has plastic pieces on it (instead of metal) that assemble the crib.  These pieces are a natural wood color and I want to paint the crib an antique white.  Can I paint the plastic pieces, and if so how?

Answer
You local home improvement store carries paint that will adhere to plastic.  One brand that comes to mind is Rustoleum.  Be sure to check for any possible toxicity before painting the crib.  Safety first, and always with children's furniture.

Jenny
