Decorating & Furniture/Cream furniture - tone down "yellow" tone

Question
Hi,

I recently purchased painted and distressed French Country furniture at an antique store that was painted cream and glazed brown to make it appear older. The pieces have a vanilla color - not white or ivory.  The headboard on the bed has two panels that were done without the glaze to show a contrast...but I fear the furniture (bed especially) will look yellow if I pick the wrong bedding and wall colors.  Any suggestions? Thank you!

Answer
Hello Carol ,

Samples .. pick up several colours samples of swatches from your paint store . Select a colour and bring that colour to your paint shop and they will match that colour . Compare you swatches and allow a couple of days to view the swatches in the different light the room recieves from sun and lamp lightings .
