Decorating & Furniture/Decorating

Hello, my name is Dru Wagner. I'm a junior at Ball State University and I am writing an article about improving furniture on a budget. I have some ideas from experience from decorating my apartment, but do you have any suggestions? What would you do to improve the furniture you already own? The options are limitless, so if you have any unique ideas to improve furniture, your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Dear Dru Wagner,
You are right the options are limitless. I have always liked when people create a mosaic on top of an old table. Here are some examples:

Also has some great ideas, I would strongly suggest posting a message in the trash to treasure forum in the decorating section to get some more advice. The people on their are great. Here is a link from that might help:,1792,HGTV_3487,00.html

Hope this helps you out.
