Decorating & Furniture/Mixing appliance colors?

Question
About a year and a half ago, my husband and I purchased a new
dishwasher and refrigerator - both white - being certain that when
we finally decided to remodel the kitchen we'd go with white
cabinets and a cottage feel.  Of course, we've changed our minds
and have purchased cabinets with a mocha brown glaze and
travertive subway tile backsplash.  So my questions:  will white
stand out too much against the dark brown?  Could we buy a
stainless steel range and install a stainless steel sink/fixtures, or
does it look odd to mix appliance colors in the same (rather small)
space?  Thanks so much for your help!

Answer
Hello,
The mocha brown glaze sounds fantastic and would look great with the stainless appliances.  I do know you can purchase stainless panels to attach to the dishwasher as an easy fix.  As for the fridge, you may want to contact the manufacturer and find out if there are stainless fronts available for your model.

I rather like the consistency of matching appliance finishes...it really does make the kitchen appear "finished" and professional.

Good luck!
