Question
I am putting up crown moulding in a 14x16 room. the ceiling is white and the walls are powder blue.Half the moulding is on the ceiling and half on the wall. What color should the moulding be painted? Thanks for any help.  Randy

Answer
Hi Randy,

Thanks for writing.  Your moulding should be painted or stained to match all the other moulding in your home meaning your door frames, window casings etc.  If they are all painted white, then paint the new moulding white.  If they are stained, the new moulding should be stained as well.  In either case, it should NOT be painted the color of the walls.

Regards,
Jenny
