Question
Did you go to college to become an interior decorator? If so, is it required that you do, how many years did you spend in college, and what did you study (or do) in in college?

Answer
Dear Amanda Guthrie,
You dont have to go to college to become an interior decorator. You do need to have a bachelors degree to become an interior designer. I took a correspondence course for interior decorating and got my certificate in interior decorating. Four years is the standard to get your bachelors degree. I am attending school right now to get my bachelors. You study alot of technical things like building codes and how to design architecturally. I like school but I it takes up alot of time. On top of quizes and tests you have projects that are very time consuming. Hope this information helps. Go to these websites to learn more.
