|Comment||Jenny, You are not only creative but you can truly think around corners instead of being just purely "intuitive" in your approach like me. I think in terms of the "what ifs" and needed to know the "why nots". As much as I LOVE your spackle idea.....the functional part, as you so aptly pointed out, would be too limiting. On the other hand, the paper bag thing would be more functional but the many coats of polyurethane needed would make it too smooth for the look I was after (old world...rough tile). I will have to go with my original concept of faux granite.....and no collage. I'm out of ideas so will drag myself back into "the box" for now. Thanks so much for your expert advice. You saved me from having to buy a new countertop!! Joan|

College, advertising, public relations, marketing, free-lance writing and a plethora of creative endeavors have led me here. As an entrepreneur in decorative product design, I learned the hard way how tough it can be to be in business for yourself. A stint at a law firm taught me humility too. Some three thousand questions ago, I wondered if I could really help. Obviously, I'm still here and still taking your questions. God Bless You!
