Decorating & Furniture/new room!

Question
Hi! I'm a 21 year old graduate student moving into an apartment
with white walls that I can't paint. I've always had very girly pink
and purple linens, but I'm looking to make my new room more
adult and sophisticated.

I recently purchased a pastel/sage green comforter set from HSN
that I hope to use as a starting point. it comes with shams and
one throw pillow, but I'm trying to decide how I can accent the
comforter with another colors. I don't want anything too bright
or busy. I'm hoping to create a rexaxing crisp spa/hotel kind of
feeling without feeling overwhelmed by pastels and white walls.

As a student, I'm on a budget. My furniture is also all white or
light pinewood, but I'm thinking of changing headboards.
Thanks for your help!

Answer
Jessica:

Well the comforter as a starting point then would go like this
1. windows treatments should be fine shears of white or light green color with white sheer middles.

This creates softness

2. Accent furniture with small accent pillows that are relaxing calming colors for you such as light green or sage colors.

3. relaxing throw rug also with plush fiber from walmart can be purchased on a budget of 60.00 for light green or sage as well.

Thanks
Jean
