Question
I AM TRYING TO PAINT A 12 BY 13 ROOM.  FLOORS ARE LIGHT LAMINATE.  WHITE TRIM.  8 WINDOWS WITH HONEY MAPLE BLINDS.    DENHAM SOFA, BRIGHT ORANGE CHAIR, AND 1 APPLE GREEN CHAIR. SHABBY CHIC TABLES.    REST OF HOUSE OPENS TO THIS ROOM.  AM ARTIST, ALL BRIGHT PRIMARY COLORS.      TRIED A VERY LIGHT BLUE.  LOOKS VERY WHITE AND MAKES ROOM LOOKS UNATTACHED.    THANKS.

Answer
Hi, thanks for writing.

I know this is going to sound boring, expecially for an artist, but I would suggest a very light cream color with a yellow to cream tone aposed to a grey tone.

You have so much color in that room and it is all very bright! I know a grey tone would really damper things, so try that. I am not going to suggest any other color besides the cream because the room will eld up looking like a circus.

As always, I encourage you to send pictures of your completed projects to benctt@aol.com anytime.
