About Sari
Expertise
I can answer most questions that pertain to general band information such as, the orgins, former band members, discography information for most countries and all USA releases, tour questions, and instrument questions. I can also answer questions about the band`s appearance on VH1`s StoryTellers because I was at the taping. I prefer not to answer questions about their personal lives but I can answer basic ones (like marital status, number of children, etc)

Experience
I have been a fan for 20 years and have been collecting information on the band for the last 17 years. I have an extensive variety of magazine articles, books, sheet music and of course albums (not to mention singles and Bsides) that I have spent many hours studying. I have a (well worn) copy of their official biography, Animal Instinct, that serves well as a reference.
I have also been to many concerts- 32 in all. So answering questions about live performances shouldn't be difficult. I also ran a now defunct website pertaining to Joe Elliott, lead singer of Def Leppard.

Question
I asked this question last September, and was wondering if there's any chance you may now have some information?

"I know that a Mega-band's success depends on their trademark sound, and being a loyal fan of both their music writing, and 'sound' I have to ask...What effects does Lep (Phil and/or Viv) use- particularly on their solos and fills...that lingering, tubular, rounded reverb-ish sound found in Paper Sun's solo, and many many others?

Obviously I cannot duplicate it at home (although I have tried many a time) since it's undoubtedly taken them years of refining and tweaking to achieve...not to mention the budget only a mega-band could afford.

Or is it something fairly simple I just haven't come across yet?  I've tried doing research and keep ending up here!
Thanks!"

Again, thanks!

Answer
I'm sorry about all the delay but this has been a very difficult question.

The person who used to have a site pertaining to Phil's guitars has closed it down- and he hasn't been too good about answering my email.

Unfortunately the best I can do is this article from Guitar World from the Euphoria tour- if you have trouble reading it let me know and I will try to transcribe it.

Again, my apologies as this is a very intricate question!
